Dreams Underfoot: A Newford Collection
Dreams Underfoot is a collection of short stories about a group of interconnected people. Charles de Lint uses fantasy to talk about love, loss, hurt, life, cities, anything you can think about. I really enjoyed this collection of short stories, but what kept me from loving it was inconsistent quality of writing. Most of the time it was good, but there were times when it fell short. Hopefully I'll return to the Newford series one day when I have more time and discover that his writing improved over time.
